Ana Mandara

Ana Mandara which means beautiful refuge in Vietnamese is remiscient of an Ancient Vietnamese love story between a beautiful princess and a general. A visiting king was captivated by the charm of the princess and asked her father for her hand in marriage. The princess reluctantly married the visiting king and found that she was not welcome into her new family.

The princess’ father sent her true love, the general to rescue her and the couple escaped to lush islands in South Vietnam where they feasted on sweet mangos, seafood, bamboo and delectable island foods. They knew this was against the law and eventually returned home. The general was exhiled and the princess lived in the Buddhist convent in sadness for the rest of her life.

Ana Mandara is that tropical paradise that the general and princess escaped to. You too can experience this exotic splendor.

Ambiance: This multi-tiered exotic refuge is a gorgeous sight for the eye. New age Asian melodic music plays in the background to sooth the soul. We dined in a segregated booth which gave us ultimate privacy. Tall arches are a grand entrance to the second story lounge, a magnificent environment filled with warmth, affluence and peace.
