Bond St has been one of Manhattan’s longest lasting restaurants that has been around for 10 years. It has managed to remain at the top of the elite New York culinary scene. The food is fresh and the crowd is drop dead gorgeous. It’s almost as if you have to be a model to step foot inside the famous establishment. The space is quaint and cozy with the feel of a fashionable soho loft. Start your evening with an Asian pear cocktail at the bar–soothing peach nectar with marker’s mark is mixed with a dash of sparkling pear cider. The bar is dimly lit with a giant cherry blossom plant that is the focal point of the room.

The main dining room is filled with minimalist and contemporary elements. Warm and organic tones surround patrons as they dine of the finest Japanese contemporary cuisine. Soothing ‘skylights’ sit above a dimly lit lighting to put you in the mood. Orchids and long wooden planks sit throughout the space. A long mirror sits on the side of the wall.

Cuisine is creative, innovative and combinations of food items are something you have never seen. Start with the Szechuan yellowtail sashimi, served with szechuan ponzu and chili oil. The wagyu tataki is lightly served with truffle butter and Myoga–the combination of salt with garnished scallions creates a light flavorful sensation with the tender gelatinous meat.

Sashimi Omakase

Order the broiled Chilean sea bass which is one of the most popular items on the menu. The cut of fish falls apart the second your fork comes in contact. Marinated in Saikyo Miso, flavors are subtle, tender and will bring a smile to your face.

A wide assortment of rolls and sashimi are available including the 6 Bond Nigiri. This ‘special’ item comes with toro-caviar, salmon kelp, flake ume shiso and shrimp cilantro, scallop olive yuzu. The item has an amazing variety of innovative contemporary signature Bond St nigiri.

For dessert, the green tea souffle is a must have, something to die for. The item is light, fluffy with just a subtle taste of green tea that is not over-powering. Pour the white chocolate sauce over the concoction for an ultimate flavor of perfection.
