China Grill Miami
The world famous China Grill has finally made its way to Miami Beach. Located beneath a colorful glass tower at the desirable intersection of 5th and Washington, the restaurant is home to South Beach’s most divine collection of pan-asian cuisine.
The grand bar surrounds large wood-tiered pillars in the middle of the main dining room. Ovular amber glass-blown chandeliers sit above patrons as they dine. The interior boasts imported Egyptian limestone floors, custom colored wood floors and walls inlaid with gold leaf.
During the lunch hours, beautiful rays of natural light come into the restaurant from three sides through tall glass windows. The mood is zen-like and organic, complete with warm hues, minimalist design and an ambient candle-lit environment.
The original China Grill New York opened its doors in 1987 and quickly became one of the busiest most sought after destinations in New York City. Jeffrey Chodorow is responsible for bringing such a revolutionary concept to Manhattan and decided to open the restaurant in South Florida with a tropical twist.
China Grill offers a spectacular experience, from the presentation of the food to the patrons who dine there–beauty is omnipresent from the moment you enter the door.

| food: Don’t think that China Grill is just a Chinese restaurant. They call it “World Cuisine” for its eclectic mix of elements from around the world. Where else can you find Wasabi mashed potatoes or Lobster Pancakes?
Everything at China Grill comes in large portions and are meant to be shared family style. Every time an entrée is placed on the table, you will be in awe at the beauty and complexity of the presentation. The mere size of each entrée is a sight for the senses.
Skirt Steak Start your evening with an appetizer such as the lamb spareribs which are flavored with a hint of plum and glazed with sesame. The crab cakes come with a tomatillo-pineapple salsa and three mustard-sake sauce. Our favorite dish of the evening was the curry miso black cod, a tender succulent cut of fish that melts in your mouth. The dish is accompanied by sweet soy glazed Chinese Broccoli & Yuzu-miso butter sauce.
Black Cod
The Korean Kalbi rib-eye and sweet soy marinated skirt steak are also great choices for an evening of fine dining. It is rare to find such great Asian-inspired cuisine in the middle of South Beach.
